Ritu Shah is a Master's student studying civil engineering, concentrating in Construction Management. She received her bachelor's degree in architecture from Nirma University in Ahmedabad, India in July 2022. During the fall semester of 2022 at Columbia, she was a fellow in the research group of Global Leaders in Construction Management. She worked with a real estate development company called Vista Properties to understand the current trends in real estate and their implementation in different mid-western states in the United States. This helped them understand the markets of the Midwest mid-west since they wanted to develop a part of the Fulton Market district in Chicago. She was also part of the Industry Field Study at AECOM where she had the opportunity to learn about traditional project management from the AECOM team and prepare a Project Management Plan for the East Side Coastal Resiliency project with a contract value of $11 million. She is currently enrolled in academic courses that include a variety of topics, such as Public Private Partnerships in Global Infrastructure, which focuses on the future of the construction sector, and Operations Strategies, which focuses on management. The Real Estate Finance course has piqued her interest in real estate.
