Hiral Patel, Aviation Project Manager - Port Authority of New York & New Jersey
I joined the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in March 2020 as the Aviation Project Manager. As an Aviation Project Manager, I manage and oversee all aspects of project and program delivery, including the development of quality Project Management Plans, project and program development of corrective action plans for airport rehabilitation and expansion projects and the Sustainability Program. Prior to my current position, I was the Project Manager at MTA New York City Transit. During my tenure at MTA, I was planning, developing, and executing New York City Transit’s Infrastructure Capital Program. I received the MTA ‘On the Spot’ Award recognition for leadership, teamwork and safety skills which involved implementing new strategies by creating and executing the in-house chemical grouting, overcoat painting and defect reduction programs to supplement the work performed by outside contractors to strategically change the conventional approaches to meet organizational goals. I am a graduate of Rutgers University – School of Engineering, where I majored in Civil Engineering. When I am not keeping busy with work, you can find me exploring the city, traveling or dancing!
