Wendi Shafran, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, is a Principal and Director of Affordable Housing at FXCollaborative, a New York City-based architecture, interiors, and planning design firm. Wendi provides leadership to many of the firm’s multi-family residential, affordable housing, and mixed-use projects, with a specialty in creating inspirational yet socially conscious spaces that address specific community needs while responding to local context. She believes that built environments have a dual environmental and community impact, and when designed well, can help reshape our cities as more diverse, sustainable, and equitable places. Wendi is a registered architect in New York and holds a Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University. She is active in a number of industry organizations including the New York State Association for Affordable Housing, Women in Housing and Finance, and as a board member of the New York Housing Conference’s Rising Leaders Network.
