Tali Mejicovsky
Tali Mejicovsky, PE, CPEng, LEED AP is an Associate Principal and Façade Engineer with Arup in New York. She is the Façade Discipline Team Leader for the Americas East and the Building Envelope Design Skills Network Leader in the Americas Region.
A structural engineer by background, Tali is focused on all aspects of façade engineering including materials selection, system design, structural analysis, specifying performance requirements, waterproofing and detailing. Her project experience ranges in scale and complexity from large scale museums, institutional buildings, airports, and commercial buildings, to specialized free-standing structures such as canopies and sculptures.
Tali has over 25 years of experience across a variety of materials and systems including structural glass, steel / aluminum / bronze curtain walls, stone and masonry cladding and engineered operable components. Her experience on complex multidisciplinary projects ranges from early concept design to monitoring fabrication, installation, and testing on site, always with a focus on achieving a fully integrated design. Significant projects include Solar Carve (40 Tenth Avenue), Northeastern EXP, Harvard Art Museum and the expansion and renovation at The Frick Collection.
During her career, Tali has spent periods working in America, Australia, Israel, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. She is passionate about sharing knowledge and has presented, taught, and published frequently on the discipline of façade engineering, currently guest lecturing at Syracuse University’s School of Architecture.
