Steve Myrthil earned a B.S.E. from Tufts University, Medford, MA in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Human Factors (UI/UX). He has been working in the Edtech space in many capacities for over a decade, in K-12 charter schools, for Edtech software companies and now providing wifi for housing services across New York. Working with the Harlem Chamber of Commerce, Steve helped small businesses in Harlem through financial literacy and technical development. Steve founded Brainpop's inaugural Implementation team to design bespoke software implementation plans for school districts around the world. He returned to schools to lead the technology vision and covid-19 Edtech strategy for Excellence Community Schools, a growing network of charter schools in the Bronx and CT. Steve is now the Vice President of Information Technology for Wethab where he is leading the charge on the urgent technical needs of over 10,000 shelter and affordable housing residents across New York City and Westchester. Steve worked with community partners in Yonkers to build and distribute free internet access and will continue to support the expansion of the Y-Zone project.
