As studio director, Stephen directs the design, development, and construction of Hollander Design’s city-based projects ranging from residential terraces and corporate headquarters to park redevelopment and hospitality. Since joining the firm in 2010, Stephen has overseen the design and management of some of the firm’s most highly publicized and notable projects. A sought-after expert in translating the latest in residential lifestyle amenities into workplace, multifamily, and retail settings, Stephen’s design approach connects urban dwellers with nature. His recent work includes the award-winning 11 Hoyt, a residential tower with Studio Gang that features a biophilia-inspired green roof, an award-winning, wrap-around workplace terrace at 55 Hudson, and streetscape design for Belmont Park Village, a new retail destination that will be LEED accredited and BREEAM certified. A registered landscape architect with projects around the country, Stephen approaches urban design with keen attention to the surrounding architecture, his clients, and the unique qualities of each site.
