Sigal is a Sustainability Lead at SOM where she incorporates high performance and integrative building design to achieve aggressive sustainability targets. She is accountable for delivering comprehensive bespoke sustainability roadmaps on a range of projects of different typologies and scales pursuing net zero around the globe, including her most recent work on The New York Climate Exchange at Governors Island. Sigal's expertise spans a number of topics including building energy performance, embodied carbon, and health and wellbeing, but she is particularly passionate about applying a whole life carbon approach to her projects. When she's not empowering design teams to think sustainably, Sigal is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation and The New York City College of Technology, where she lectures on sustainability in the built environment.
