March 2025 marks the 25th year at Arup for Ron Ronacher, where he is a Principal and currently serves as Arup's Global Security & Risk Skills Network Leader, responsible for the training, development, and growth of the members. Additionally, he is the Americas East Geography Discipline Team Leader at Arup, overseeing project delivery.
Ron holds a degree in engineering from Polytechnic University along with various qualifications from the New York Police Department, FEMA and the Centre for Terrorism & Counterrorism at Leiden University (The Hague, Netherlands). He is an Accredited Physical Security Professional (PSP) through ASIS International. Ron credited as an author and editor of various books on the application of security in the built environment. His focus is on providing a holistic approach to mitigating threats and risks, encompassing policies, procedures, physical security, and electronic security.
