Making has always been in Rob’s DNA. Growing up in Toronto, he loved working on his highly-detailed model train set. As he got older, he built tree houses, skating rinks, and furniture. Eventually, Rob started his own business, constructing fences and decks during the summer. Being involved at the inception of a project, helping to brainstorm the ideas that will ultimately shape the outcome, is paramount for Rob. He loves the iterative process that architects and clients engage in to arrive at a well-resolved design solutions. Rob’s built work is inventive and thoughtful, with a strong emphasis on the integration of space, light, and nature. Rob can count some of the most high-profile, preeminent institutions among his clients, and his multiple award-winning body of work has had a lasting impact on the design culture of our firm.
