Pawel Woelke is a co-leader of Thornton Tomasetti’s Applied Science Practice, and heads the firms’ decarbonization efforts, which are part of the broader Climate Action at TT. He works on multiple topics with a specific focus on enabling energy transition by helping to overcome the most challenging technical barriers.
Safety of energy storage systems, both mobile and stationary has been one of Pawel’s key focus areas over the last 10 years. He leads a battery safety team that evaluates and mitigates the risk of battery fires, explosions, and toxic gas release, occurring simultaneously in dense urban environment.
