Mr. Rode joined Tishman Speyer in 2021 to lead engineering and operational activities across the US portfolio. In his role, he is responsible for ensuring that properties are safe, efficient, resilient, sustainability focused, and provide world class environments for optimal customer productivity. Before joining Tishman Speyer, Mr. Rode was Director of Engineering for RXR Realty, where he oversaw operations and energy for all new and existing buildings across all asset classes. He also was the Senior Vice President of Engineering and Energy for The Related Companies, responsible for engineering operations, capital projects, and utility purchasing across over 400 buildings of mixed asset types. Mr. Rode has international experience as a Project Executive for deep energy retrofit and cogeneration projects in Melbourne, London, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, as well as the green retrofit of the Empire State Building. He was one of the original members of the NRDC’s High Performance Tenant Interiors project team, participated in the US State Department’s Expert Speaker Program, serves on various energy and code committees, and is a member of the Facility Committee for the Tarrytown School Board. Mr. Rode holds his BS in chemical engineering from Manhattan College.
