Nelly began her career at Turner as an intern during her freshman year of college as part of the YouthForce Scholarship program, where she continued to complete her construction management degree at Pratt Institute. She spent four years at Goldman Sachs, leading their Americas real estate procurement team, and completed her master’s degree at New York University in Business Administration. Upon her return to Turner, she held several positions of increasing responsibility, eventually becoming a Project Executive in 2019. Nelly's current role is Manager of Business Development for the Interiors Division. In addition to her work in the field, Nelly is a driving force in championing diversity and inclusion within Turner. She is part of a recently formed national committee to drive DE&I within Turner and is an executive sponsor of Turner’s employee resource group, Cada Communidad. Cada Comunidad is focused on the professional development of our Hispanic & Latinx employees, maintaining a strategic network of construction professionals and fostering an environment of inclusion. Nelly continues to advocate for educating Turner’s younger staff and serves as a mentor for many.
