Murat Bayramoglu
Murat is a Senior Energy Engineer in the Energy group at AECOM. For nearly 10 years, he has worked on numerous ASHRAE Level I, II, and III energy audits and feasibility studies, primarily for compliance with New York City's Local Laws 87 and 97. In this capacity, Murat analyzes the energy usage of large commercial and residential buildings, hospitals, and hotels to identify appropriate energy conservation and retro-commissioning measures that significantly reduce operational costs without compromising indoor air quality. At AECOM, he serves as an advisor to NYSERDA on its Empire Building Challenge to transform New York’s existing building stock into the buildings of the future. Murat also consults for the University of Colorado on air pressurization optimization and real-time energy monitoring upgrades for its laboratory buildings and for Los Alamos National Lab to achieve its net zero goal. He is on the board of the Long Island Chapter of ASHRAE, where he served as a past President, and is an active member of the Association for Energy Engineers. Murat earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Sakarya University in Turkey and a Master of Science in Energy Management from the New York Institute of Technology.
