Maya Kurien is Vice President of Advocacy at the Real Estate Board of New York where she covers policy development, analysis, and advocacy efforts at the City, State, and Federal levels. Before joining REBNY, Maya served as Executive Director of Government Affairs for the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD). Prior to HPD, Maya worked at the New York City Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and as an aide to State Senator Brad Hoylman. Maya started her career in public service as an aide to then-Council Member Jessica Lappin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Anthropology from SOAS, University of London, and a Master's in Public Policy from University College London.
