Lauren is an Associate in the Urbanism + Planning practice within the Buildings + Places group at AECOM Metro New York. With more than a decade of design and community engagement experience, she leads interdisciplinary teams on site-specific projects and large strategic plans that address resilience, sustainability, and the uncertainties of climate change for both public and private clients throughout the U.S. and abroad. Lauren managed a team of engineers, designers, and planners on the Lower Manhattan Coastal Resiliency feasibility study and master plan, which resulted in a series of capital projects slated to begin construction this year. She recently oversaw landscape design and community engagement for Brooklyn Bridge – Montgomery Coastal Resilience, a sea-level rise adaptation, flood protection, and public realm improvement project along nearly one mile of the Lower East Side’s waterfront. Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Columbia University and her Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. She is an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
