I attended Kansas State University to study Interior Design and during the Bachelor of Science program I became interested in specializing in lighting design. I attend Parsons the New School for Design and earned an Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design. After graduation I worked as a lighting designer in NYC for about 3 years, at SBLD and freelancing at L'Observatoire International & iCrave. I had the opportunity to change my career direction from design to work as a lighting manufacturer rep at SLS, where I worked closely with lighting designers & architects. I left after 8 years and pivoted to lighting distribution, now working at illuminico. My experience in the lighting industry has given me a unique perspective of working on projects from different angles and understanding how our industry works. I am committed to improving the project process for the designers & end-users benefits.
