I have worked in fire safety for little over a year and find the industry challenging and rewarding. Working in an industry with a mandate and one that spans customer contact from building engineers to CEOs allows for honing a wide breadth of skills (corporate negotiation, financial planning and guidance, technical knowledge, navigating various corporate systems/processes). This is a rewarding career that allows one to manage their business with the support/backing of a billion dollar organization. What a rewarding opportunity!
