As senior director at Shawmut Design and Construction, a leading $1.5 billion national construction management firm, Jonathan Fiato leads the New York Metro region in the development and execution of commercial projects in New York City.

With over 17 years of industry experience, Fiato understands the key priorities, technical logistics, and client service needed to best execute projects for commercial clients in New York. Fiato leads his team in acting as a true partner to clients, working together upfront to address any anticipated challenges and rectifying issues before project teams even step foot on site. He has cultivated partnerships with key developers including Boston Properties, Brookfield Properties, Tishman Speyer, Paramount Group and more.

Understanding the importance of building up the next generation of leaders, Fiato shares his passion for construction with high school students through Summer Search New York City, providing support and guidance as they explore different career paths. He is an active member of CoreNet and New York Building Congress.

Fiato graduated from Columbia University with a master’s in construction management and from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in structural engineering.
