Joe Hogan
Joe Hogan is the Vice President of Building Services for the Associated General Contractors of New York State (AGC NYS); a Chapter of the AGC of America. For over 30 years, he has worked as liaison for the Members of AGC before public and private construction users, architects/engineers, and subcontractors. In addition, he regularly reviews and offers commentary on contract documents as well as project delivery and procurement issues.
Joe serves as a Member of the Wage Subsidy Board of NYS. He also serves on the NYS Temporary Construction Industry Advisory Council on Public Contracting Reform.
Mr. Hogan also serves as Director of Construction Services for AGC Safety & Construction Services, a subsidiary of AGC NYS, where he has pioneered the use of partnering in New York State. Over the past 25 years, he has facilitated partnering/team-building on over $10 billion worth of construction projects in New York State and nationally for such clients as the MTA Bridges and Tunnels, the NYS Thruway Authority, NYS DOT, the NYCSCA, SUCF, NYS OGS, NYC DEP, GSA, Corps of Engineers, Outokumpu American Brass, and myriad other construction users, designer, contractors, and construction managers. Joe regularly lectures on how to improve communication on construction projects. In addition, Joe has spoken extensively on the topic before a wide spectrum of the construction industry throughout the United States. Most recently, discussions have focused on Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
Mr. Hogan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce/Labor Relations from Niagara University. He is recognized as a Construction Document Technologist (CDT) by the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) and is a Member of the Panel of Arbitrators for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Joe is also a Former Trustee/Deputy Mayor for the Village of Johnson City, NY.
AGC NYS is an association representing over 600 Members statewide. Over 250 of those Members are general contractors and construction managers who perform the lion’s share of commercial, industrial, institutional and transportation construction throughout New York State.
