Jason is the Director of the Innovation Laboratory (iLAB), a global initiative to develop prototype solutions to design and deliver high-performance and net-zero carbon (NZC) projects and programs, as well as the Research Development + Innovation Lead for the Buildings + Places group at AECOM. In his multiple roles, Jason focuses on leveraging the intersection of energy, finance, and policy to deliver high-performance and sustainable design solutions that reduce both capital and operating costs to maximize value for clients and to deliver solutions that are NZC-capable. As a high-performance design specialist, his approach takes advantage of the first principles of building physics in order to provide lower energy and carbon intensities while improving occupant comfort. Jason’s work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, Department of Energy, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and the American Institute of Architects. He has won numerous awards for next generation building systems design and has multiple building system patents.
