Jane Smith
Jane Smith, FAIA, IIDA is the founding partner of Spacesmith LLP, an architecture and interior design firm with offices in New York City and Hudson, NY. With a diverse portfolio and many repeat clients, Spacesmith has completed work for federal, state, and city agencies, universities, non-profits, and private sector clients. Dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the practice of architecture and serving the community, Jane is an active member of the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter where she served on the Board Executive Committee and on the AIA NY State Board. Passionate about mentoring the next generation of designers, Jane served as the Chair of the BFA Interior Design: Built Environments Department the School of Visual Arts, NYC while continuing to lead Spacesmith. Jane received the prestigious AIA NY State President’s Award for outstanding contributions to the profession in education, industry, and government. She is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for The Olana Partnership, a non-profit that inspires the public by preserving and interpreting Frederic Church’s Olana, a National Historic Landmark. Jane holds a degree in Architecture, cum laude, from Arizona State University and a master’s degree in finance from the Stern School of Business, NYU.
