Erin Spadavecchia
Erin Spadavecchia is the Immediate Past President and a current Board Member for the Construction Specification Institute (CSI), Metropolitan New York Chapter. She has held various roles for the Metro New York Chapter such as Vice President. The mission of CSI is to advance building information management and education of project teams to improve facility performance.
Erin is also the Manager – Sustainable Building Solutions at ASSA ABLOY headquartered in the Americas in New Haven, CT. She helps guide their sustainability program and increases awareness of sustainable solutions. Erin has been with ASSA ABLOY since 2014, previously as an Architectural Consultant and Program Manager - Sustainability.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Biotechnology (concentration in Ecology and Environmental Biology) with a minor in Spanish from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. Erin is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh, NY.
She is a current member of the mindful MATERIALS (mM) Forum, mM Data Working Group and mM Community Working Group. Erin is also affiliated with BuildGreenCT, New York Passive House, Design for Freedom, and Built Environment Plus. Erin volunteers for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley Chapter and various communities in her area. She serves as mentor to students studying in Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s sustainability program.
Her speaking credits include: Greenbuild 2022, Living Future 2023, CACX (AIA CT) 2023, New York Build 2024, Living Future 2024, CSI National Conference 2024, etc.
