Emily Dean
Emily Dean is Director of Housing Decarbonization for NYSERDA where she leads the development and execution of strategies and partnerships to accelerate efficiency and electrification adoption in New York's residential and multifamily buildings, with a focus on serving low-to-moderate income residents and affordable housing, to achieve the climate and equity goals in New York's Climate Act. Prior to this role, Emily served as Director of Market Development, leading NYSERDA’s work in Communities & Local Governments, Workforce Development, and Industrial & Agriculture.
Before joining NYSERDA in 2016, Emily was Deputy Assistant Commissioner for New York City's DCAS Energy Management, where she developed strategies and programs to reduce emissions across the City’s 4,000+ public buildings. Emily earned a BA in Urban Design from NYU and a MPA in Environmental Policy from Columbia University.
