David Chessrown
Dave Chessrown, AIA, CPHC serves as Senior Associate at nARCHITECTS where he has overseen close collaboration with landscape design, engineering, and construction partners to realize the ResilienCity Park Pavilion in Hoboken and the Gansevoort Peninsula Park Pavilion in Manhattan. He recently completed overseeing the renovation of Building A at the Bush Terminal Campus for the New York City Economic Development Corporation as part of a multiphase plan to reimagine two industrial buildings as work and community spaces for makers, artists, designers, and entrepreneurs. Dave is currently working with the New York City Department of Design and Construction on the 12,000-sf Maintenance and Operations Building at Orchard Beach, one of the first to be developed under the agency’s newly implemented Design-Build program.
He holds a Master of Architecture from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami. Dave’s academic background included participation in Design-Build Studio projects as well as research on the impacts of architecture on the public realm; both themes continue to inform his professional practice.
