Corinne Rico
Corinne Rico, Director of Sustainability at CBRE, engages both occupier and investor clients at various points within their sustainability journey. Leveraging systems thinking, she collaborates with her clients to provide solutions that integrate into existing frameworks and processes while maximizing sustainability impact. In today’s increasingly connected world, Corinne engages her CBRE counterparts in EMEA and APAC to provide a truly global implementation approach to her clients’ ranging needs, which often include benchmarking and regulatory compliance, climate risk, portfolio sustainability strategy, green leasing, and ESG reporting and disclosure.
Prior to her role at CBRE, as the Senior Director of Sustainability at ShopCore, a Blackstone real estate portfolio company, Corinne led the sustainability initiatives for a portfolio of more than 15 million square feet as well as developed and implemented the company’s corporate ESG strategy. Her initiatives and accomplishments at ShopCore include company-owned solar photovoltaic installations, electric vehicle charging implementation, portfolio-wide energy and water efficiency projects, transforming the company’s approach to green leasing, and leading the company’s GHG inventories and ESG reporting, including GRESB, CDP, and voluntary public-facing annual reports referencing TCFD and GRI standards.
With over 15 years of experience at the intersection of sustainability and the built environment, Corinne has held additional roles spanning the topic areas of resilience, circular economy, and embodied carbon.
