Chrissa has been with NJ TRANSIT since 2021 as the Deputy Chief of the Construction Management group, after coming from the New Jersey Department of Transportation as Senior Executive Service where she served in the roles of Regional Construction Engineer for Region North Construction & Materials and Deputy State Transportation Engineer. In her role as Regional Construction Engineer, she was responsible for managing over 300 state and consultant personnel in the administration and oversight of hundreds of projects in various phases of construction. In her current role with NJ TRANSIT, she is actively involved in various bridge construction projects such as the Portal North Bridge and Raritan River Bridge replacements, various train station rehabilitation projects, and bus garage projects supporting electric bus infrastructure.

Prior to joining the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Chrissa was with the Louis Berger Group where she worked on and managed various transportation infrastructure project designs for state, county, and municipal agencies and authorities. She is a licensed Professional Engineer. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University, and an M.B.A. in Finance and M.S. in International Business from Seton Hall University.
