Chonghui Liu (CL) is a Principal Engineer with Arcadis, a global design and consulting company. CL has 15 years’ experience in energy consulting and mechanical system design, project and team management, and business development. He has been striving to help communities, campuses and building owners – of over 50 million square feet of commercial space – provide comfortable and productive built environment while achieving energy efficiency and sustainability goals. He believes energy conservation is an ethic. 

As an ASHRAE member, CL has served several Region 1 Vice Chair positions since 2016 and Central New York Chapter Past President 2018-2019. He contributed to publication of ANSI/ASHRAE Energy Standard 90.1-2019 and 90.1-2022, he teaches the current New York State and New York City Energy Conservation Codes with Urban Green Council, and he serves on the NYSERDA stakeholder advisory group for 2023 NYStretch Energy Code development.
