A nineteen-year veteran of the solar industry, Barrett has helped clients in the residential, commercial, and utility scale sectors of the industry employ multiple megawatts of solar energy. He founded Silver Lining Solar in 2015 to focus on the needs of local businesses and nonprofits so that they could fully realize the benefits of solar technology for their bottom lines and their communities. Barrett sold his company in 2021 to lead the sales team at 174 Power Global which was subsequently acquired by Qcells. He is now the Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Accord Power in New York City. Barrett has helped commercial solar clients as diverse as Regeneron, The Tarrytown Music Hall, The Jacob Burns Media Lab, among many others, and has worked for the solar industry's leading panel and racking manufacturers. He graduated cum laude from Duke University and holds a Master's degree in Philosophy from Brown University. He enjoys swimming, playing the tenor sax, piano, and cello, and lives in Chappaqua, New York in a home that makes its own solar domestic hot water and uses geothermal energy for heating and cooling.
