Asheque Rahman
Asheque Rahman is a Senior Traffic Engineer working on the JFK Redevelopment Program at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). Asheque has over 17 years of diverse experience in transportation engineering, planning, supply chain logistics, emerging technology, project & program management. Asheque is a nationally recognized transportation professional which includes being the recipient of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Young Government Civil Engineer of the Year Award (2013), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (IMPORMS) Franz Edelmen Finalist Award (2017) and the Institute of Transportation Engineers Young Leaders to Follow Award (2021). Asheque previously worked with New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT), New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) and New York City Emergency Management Department (NYCEM) serving in numerous roles to help implement and deliver various crucial Citywide initiatives; such include NYC DOT’s Traffic Information Management System (TIMS), Off-Hour Deliveries (OHD) Program Expansion and NYCEM’s Citywide Asset and Logistics Management System (CALMS).
