After graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture/Minor in Philosophy from the University of Kentucky, Aria began his design collaboration with the long established Arts and Crafts architecture & interiors practice of Andrew Chary in the Adirondacks. In 2011, he relocated to Manhattan to work with Richard H. Lewis Architecture, a firm which created the modern template for New York City restaurant interior design. Aria worked at Brooklyn-based MESH Architectures, a hybrid architectural practice which pushed the boundaries of traditional architecture and interiors by fostering interactions with new technologies. Aria established his New York City practice, opa architecture in 2015. opa architecture applies robust architectural theory to all architectural and interiors projects with the primary end goal of interpreting and implementing client’s visions for their spaces. Aria has been a volunteer with Storefront for Art and Architecture as well as a guest critic at Pratt Institute and Wentworth Institute of Technology. Aria's work has been featured in numerous publications including Architectural Digest and Dwell Magazine.
