Arash Zarmehr, PhD, EIT, LEED, ENV SP, High-Performance Building Specialist, AECOM Metro New York
As a High-Performance Building Specialist in the Building + Places group at AECOM Metro New York, Arash provides energy simulation, computation analysis, and decarbonization strategy for projects at various scales across sectors. He has expertise in shaping regulations, operational strategy, and data analysis for high-performing buildings globally, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures. Arash earned two Master of Science degrees, first in Mechanical Engineering, and then in Modeling, Virtual Environments and Simulation, in which he also earned his Doctor of Philosophy. While at the University of Central Florida (UCF) pursuing his graduate degrees, Arash served as a Research Assistant in energy data analysis at UCF’s Institute for Simulation & Training.
