Alan D. Price, PE
Alan D. Price, PE, serves as the Director of both the Office of Technical Certification & Research (OTCR), and the Office of Alternative Energy (OAE) at the New York City Department of Buildings (DOB). In these roles, Alan oversees the research, evaluation, and approval of the adoption of alterative construction materials and alternative energy technology. Since joining DOB in 2008, Alan has been the point person for helping facilitate the utilization of novel materials and technology in the City’s construction industry without negatively impacting public safety.
Prior to working at DOB, Alan worked in the private sector for over a decade. Alan is a recognized industry expert on energy storage systems. His work in the Office of Alternative Energy is critical to protecting public safety, while the City and State move towards meeting their ambitious sustainability goals.
