Adam Beckmann, P.E.
Adam Beckmann is a Principal at Thornton Tomasetti who splits time between the firm’s Newark, NJ and New York City offices. He has nearly 15 years of experience in project management, field investigation, steel design, and reinforced and prestressed concrete design. In addition to daily project management roles, Adam also leads the structural engineering practice within the New Jersey Office.
Adam has worked on a range of projects in aviation, commercial, mixed-use, hotel, residential and sports/entertainment sectors, but focuses mainly on the design of high-rise structures. His project experience includes recent notable projects such as 10 Hudson Yards, LaGuardia Airport Terminal B, and Rolex USA’s new NY HQ.
Adam attended Villanova University where he received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He currently volunteers with Villanova’s Career Compass Mentorship Program and serves as a professional advisor to the senior structural capstone classes at the University. Adam also serves on the Board of Directors for the Newark Regional Business Partnership Chamber of Commerce.
