Governor Kathy Hochul announced the completion of The Fountains. The Fountains is a redevelopment on the the former Brooklyn Developmental Center site which will consist of 1,163 affordable homes within several residential structures. There will be nearly 22,000 square-feet of commercial space as well as 192 apartments which are for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The goal of the new complex is to provide equal opportunity for every New Yorker to provide quality, affordability and access to resources needed to live healthy lives.
