For over 230 years Powers Irish Whiskey has honored those who work with their hands. Established in Dublin in 1791, the Powers Distillery was such a large operation that it functioned as its own city employing its own carpenters, engineers, electricians, masons, and even its own fire brigade. Powers was the first distillery to offer workers farm space (on the roof of the distillery), a full canteen offering meals to workers, uniforms, and even living quarters.
