Rocket Q. Osborne , Resident Engineer | Construction Project Manager - Dept. of Design and Construction

Rocket Osborne's deep appreciation of architecture and the built environment has allowed him to contribute to public space and public project coordination, ensuring that all projects are completed with his own special brand of excitement, energy, and excellence. With over 11 years of experience, Osborne has helped city agencies, emerging architects, artists, and a number of nonprofit organizations bring expression, urban solutions, and a sense of community to the public realm. With a Bachelors of Architecture from the University at Buffalo, Osborne formally began his career of public service in 2015 at the NYC Department of Design and Construction. At DDC, he has led projects from design initiation to construction completion, has managed a portfolio of over $5 million via 15 capital projects for the New York Public Library, and has supported a program of over $180 million in medical facility construction. In 2021 Osborne was awarded by DDC for his support of the agency's emergency response program in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently he manages the construction of the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project, the largest infrastructure project in New York City's history that will protect public space and thousands of New Yorkers from the impacts of climate change.
