Kaushal Kedari Pawar, Deputy Project Manager - AECOM
Born and brought in the city of Mumbai in India, I was always surrounded by everchanging landscape and skyline with new and modern building taking over old ones. Fascinated, it was clear that If I were to get into engineering, it would be Civil Engineering, and with that mind, I went onto pursue my Bachelor's in Civil Engineering from NMIMS after which I worked for two years as a Site Engineer. I, further, realized that to become a successful professional in the industry, I need to gain higher education and more exposure to international construction markets. Doing a master’s at prestigious university such as Columbia University opened doors for me to achieve it. Here, I have been part of research initiative, Global Leaders in Construction Management (GLCM) led by Dr. Ibrahim Odeh investigating Project delivery methods, Technological trends, Conducting market analysis, and interviewing industry professionals. Being educated in two different countries helps me better understand the business, different engineering practices, and nurtured in me the ability to communicate to diverse professionals using distinct ways of thinking. Moreover, I love playing soccer as a hobby. The journey so far has been amazing, and I look forward to keeping the momentum going.
