Adegboyega Adefope - GBOYEGA designworks
With his New York-based firm GBOYEGA designworks, formed in 1993, gBoyega has executed various
Interior and Architectural Design projects in the US and internationally and specializes in Cultural
Exhibition design. With exhibition projects for Museums such as the Guggenheim New York, The
Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, The Museum of Art and Design New York, and the Natural History
Museum in Tai Pei, the firm has undertaken a wide range of Cultural and Artistic installations.
A Nigerian-born designer, gBoyega, has explored design focused on cultures worldwide, especially
those not conventionally discussed in Interior and Architectural Design. As a result, his projects
encourage the exploration and expression development of perspectives sensitive to underrepresented
communities when thinking of design.
As part of a multi-firm collaborative team, GBOYEGA designworks investigates the influence of
experimental active and passive technological integration on the culture of the work environment for
application in the US and International Office/Lab campuses of Pharmaceutical research and corporate
offices.
gBoyega is also an adjunct professor in the PARSONS School of Design and NYIT, teaching Design
Studios, Construction Documentation, and Digital representation in the architecture and Interior design
departments. As part of his role on the Lecture and Events committee, he currently curates a lecture
series; focused on" Equity and the social contract," focusing on the equitable consideration of
underrepresented communities in design for society.
