Joe Tattoni, FAIA, is the design principal at ikon.5 architects. Based in Princeton, New Jersey the practice’s work spans the disciplines of architecture, interior design and planning and its clients include colleges and universities, arts facilities, global corporations, public libraries, non-profits and community organizations. Ikon.5 endeavors to create buildings and environments that connect people in new and interesting ways, are appropriate in their settings and foster design excellence. In 14 years of practice, the firm has been honored with over 75 international and national design awards, including a nomination for a Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in 2013 and a ranking by Architect magazine in its ARCH 50 contest, as one of the top ten firms in the U.S for Design, five years in a row. Joe’s current and recent projects include the North American headquarters facility for Schindler Elevator Corporation, new ‘maker spaces’ for the City University of New York at several of its campuses, a Fine Arts Collection Facility for Princeton University, and a US Olympic Training Facility for Archery.
