Sim Zirkiyev, Demand Management Program Manager
Sim is responsible for the successful implementation and operation of the Demand Management Program, which is slated to spend $72 million from 2017 to 2019 on projects that reduce peak demand on the grid. Prior to this assignment, Sim was in charge of the peak load shaving and contingency demand response programs.
During his 13 years at Con Edison, Sim worked in the Steam Business Development Group where he spearheaded pilot demand response and energy efficiency projects for the district steam system and in the System Operation group where he supported and managed operators. Prior to Con Edison, Sim worked at Parsons Brinckerhoff as a consulting engineer. Sim graduated first in his mechanical engineering class from Columbia University.
