Joe Fong, Building Enclosure / Performance Modeling Specialist
Mr. Joe Fong is a Senior Architect specialized in sustainable design practices, simulation modeling, and building envelope commissioning at Terracon, Houston, TX. Joe obtained the Master of Science in Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and he has 25 years of experience in the architectural profession from design and planning through construction. In addition, Joe is an adjunct faculty for the Architectural program at the University Houston, a Former-Chairman of the Houston Building Enclosure Council (BEC), and a current Chairman of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) Houston Chapter.
Joe’s research interest includes building performance & diagnostics and sustainable design for architectural environment. He is actively studying the latest advanced building technologies and their performance, such as Energy, Daylighting, Thermal Bridging Analysis and Hygrothermal simulation in building envelope commissioning. Joe has been a frequent guest speaker for various national architectural related educational seminars since 2013 to present.
