‘Fifteen Hudson Yards’ — The residential tower designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Rockwell Group — has topped out in New York. the building which now stands more than 900 feet (274 meters) in the air, forms part of Hudson Yards — the 28-acre redevelopment program currently underway on Manhattan’s west side. the project’s first phase, which includes an interactive sculpture designed by Heatherwick studio, is on track to open in march 2019.
The topping out of Fifteen Hudson Yards coincides with the announcement that sales for the tower’s 285 condominiums have now surpassed 50%. To mark the occasion, the project’s developers related cos. and oxford properties have released new photography that documents the site’s construction progress to date. Designed by DS+R in collaboration with Rockwell Group, the tower contains 285 one- to four-bedroom residences alongside a suite of luxury lifestyle amenities.
The building’s entire 50th floor is dedicated to wellness; including an aquatics center with a 75-foot-long swimming pool, private spa with treatment rooms, beauty bar, fitness center, private studio for yoga and group classes, and a children’s ‘imagination center’. Meanwhile, the 51st floor is all about leisure, with a club room, two corner private dining suites, sound-proof screening and performance room, golf club lounge, wine storage and tasting room, business center, and collaborative work space.
‘The excitement surrounding the Hudson Yards neighborhood has far exceeded everyone’s expectations,’ says Jeff Blau, CEO of related companies. ‘with more than half of the 285 residences selling in less than a year and a half, and 92 percent of our available commercial office space already spoken for, we have demonstrated that Hudson Yards is where New Yorkers want to live and work.’
‘The impressive and steady sales momentum at Fifteen Hudson yards is testament to the enormous appeal of living in this brand new, exciting and incredibly convenient neighborhood in the new heart of New York City,’ adds Sherry Tobak, senior vice president of related sales. ‘everything you need to live an enriched lifestyle is available right near your home. Fifteen Hudson Yards sits adjacent to the shed, New York’s first arts center to commission new work across the performing arts, visual arts, and popular culture; a diverse restaurant and retail collection; new parks; and robust neighborhood health and wellness amenities.’
