Bilyana Dimitrova is an architectural photographer based in the NYC area. She is the former photo editor of Metropolis magazine and the author of To Each His Home (Princeton Architectural Press). She has received commissions as an architectural photographer since 2002 and her photography has been published in such publications as: Architect, Architectural Record, Architectural Digest, The Architect’s Newspaper, The Architectural Review (UK), Interni (Italy), Interior Design, Metropolis, New York Spaces, New York Magazine, and The New York Times. Archinect.com and Architizer.com have interviewed Bilyana about the field of architectural photography and she has written about the field for the International Interior Design Association’s Perspective magazine. She has been a guest-lecturer at a number of academic institutions and a presenter at “Dwell On Design.” Most recently Bilyana curated and participated in the exhibition Beyond The Assignment: Defining Photographs of Architecture and Design, presented by the Julius Shulman Institute in CA.
